Softball Recap: Cabrini Comes Up Short

Cabrini was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish, falling 18-3. On the bright side, the three- run effort marked the Monarchs' highest-scoring contest to date.

Cabrini saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Catherine Schumm, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. That run marked the first that Schumm scored this season.

Cabrini's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gabriel Richard, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Cabrini will host Parkway Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gabriel Richard, they will head out on the road to face off against Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on the 10th.
