Basketball Recap: Antietam Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Antietam walked away with it. They snuck past the Brandywine Heights Area Bullets with a 47-42 victory on Monday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 62-41 victory two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Antietam to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shawn Raffety, who went 6-for-8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Raffety a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Scheifley, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Antietam is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Brandywine Heights Area, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Antietam will face off against Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Antietam likes a good challenge. Brandywine Heights Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
