Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Comes Up Short

St. Joseph lost against St. Catherine back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The St. Joseph Lancers took a 73-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Catherine's Angels.

St. Catherine's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Laila Collier-White out in front who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Collier-White a new career-high in assists (seven). Another player making a difference was Jayda King, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 18 points and eight rebounds.

St. Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for St. Catherine's, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Joseph nor St. Catherine's have any future games scheduled.
