Football Recap: Watervliet/Heatly Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hoosick Falls/Tamarac, Watervliet/Heatly was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Mechanicville Red Raiders by a score of 14-6.

Watervliet/Heatly's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2. As for Mechanicville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Watervliet/Heatly is set to take on their familiar foe Schuylerville on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Watervliet/Heatly 14.2, Schuylerville 14.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Mechanicville will face off against rival Granville/Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
