Basketball Recap: Pocahontas' Losing Streak Snapped at 11 Games

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pocahontas). They blew past the Storm Lake St. Mary Panthers, posting a 72-20 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak.

Pocahontas' victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the defeat, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pocahontas will venture away from home to take on East Sac County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pocahontas is facing East Sac County at the right time seeing as East Sac County is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Storm Lake St. Mary, they will head out on the road to face off against Sioux Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
