Baseball Recap: Pickerington North Has No Trouble Against Central Crossing

After only one run in their last match, Pickerington North made sure to put some runs up on the board against Central Crossing on Monday. The Panthers blew past the Comets 17-3. That looming 17-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Quinn Chappelear looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Xavier Notestone was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Partee, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

The win got Pickerington North back to even at 3-3. As for Central Crossing, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pickerington North will head out to face off against Westerville Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Warhawks at the right time seeing as the Warhawks are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Central Crossing, they are taking a road trip to take on New Albany at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
