Softball Recap: Denver East Comes Up Short

Denver East lost against Northfield back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Angels lost 16-4 to the Nighthawks. The Angels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Denver East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Carson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Denver East's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Northfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Denver East will square off against George Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Angels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Northfield, they will challenge Vista PEAK Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
