Baseball Recap: Clarksville Comes Up Short

Clarksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ozark Hillbillies. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hillbillies this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-0 loss back in March.

Chase Snellings was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. Brack Denton also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Clarksville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Ozark, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Clarksville will take on Pottsville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Apaches have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Ozark, they will challenge Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hillbillies surely won't give up without a fight.
