Basketball Game Preview: Furr Brahmans vs. Yates Lions

The Furr Brahmans will square off against the Yates Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Furr will head into Tuesday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt North Forest on Tuesday. Furr claimed a resounding 59-31 win over North Forest. The Brahmans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Yates' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Washington, falling 91-70. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered since February 27, 2024.

Furr's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Yates, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.
