Basketball Recap: Amery Triumphs

Amery's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They snuck past the Ellsworth Panthers with a 51-45 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 45-42 back in January.

The win got Amery back to even at 11-11. As for Ellsworth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amery will host Grantsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ellsworth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
