Basketball Recap: Diego Gonzalez Key Part of a Team Effort in Lobos Win

There's no place like home for Mountain View, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 58-49 victory over the Clint Lions on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lobos considering their 24-point performance the contest before.

Mountain View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Diego Gonzalez led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Gonzalez a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Omar Nevarez, who posted 12 points.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Clint, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Mountain View will head out to take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clint, they will host Ysleta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ysleta will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Clint surely won't give up without a fight.
