Basketball Game Preview: High Point Central Bison vs. Asheboro Blue Comets + Official Tickets

The High Point Central Bison will head out to square off against the Asheboro Blue Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Asheboro took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on High Point Central, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, High Point Central got the win against Thomasville by a conclusive 45-24. The Bison pushed the score to 42-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

High Point Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haleigh Davis, who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Davis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zaniyah Roland, who put up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Asheboro came up short against Rockingham County on Tuesday, falling 48-23.

High Point Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Asheboro, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

High Point Central ended up a good deal behind Asheboro in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, losing 45-29. Thankfully for the Bison, Diamond Mcdowell (who went 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points and eight boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
