Football Recap: Mountain View Mavericks vs. Farmington Phoenix
Mountain View kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Farmington Phoenix by a score of 10-7.
Despite the loss, Mountain View had strong showings from Kian Foy, who picked up 97 receiving yards and one score, and Henry Nelson, who threw for 234 yards and one touchdown. Foy showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 53 yards.
Mountain View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Corbin Hedgecoth. Another thorn in Farmington's side was Riggins Stoor, who picked up three sacks, forced two fumbles, and made four total tackles.

Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 49-0 win against Meridian on the 5th. As for Farmington, they have also already played their next contest, a 24-22 defeat against American Fork on the 5th.
