Softball Recap: Gonzaga Prep Comes Up Short

Gonzaga Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 22-4 to the Central Valley Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-9 back in March.

Gonzaga Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Allbery, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Gonzaga Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Central Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gonzaga Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Shadle Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central Valley will take on rival Ridgeline at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
