Soccer Recap: South County Takes a Loss

South County was the 2-0 winner over Fairfax when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stallions fell just short of the Lions by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday.

South County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-4. As for Fairfax, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South County will face off against Lake Braddock at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lake Braddock's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fairfax, they are taking a road trip to face off against Alexandria City at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
