Basketball Recap: Cross Roads Comes Up Short

Cross Roads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 47-40 to the Alba-Golden Panthers. The Bobcats lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 76-43 score last time.

Cross Roads' defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Alba-Golden, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-13.

Cross Roads and Alba-Golden could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Cross Roads (ranked 1461st) will meet Martins Mill (ranked 65th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Alba-Golden will face off against Frankston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 835 places (1339 vs. 504).
