Valley Christian has gone 9-1 against St. Ignatius College Preparatory recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Warriors will square off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Valley Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Valley Christian blew King's Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday King's Academy got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of the Knights by a score of 5-3. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Valley Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenzie Leon, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, St. Ignatius College Preparatory earned a 5-1 win over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory on Monday.

Delilah Berry was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Gianna Galarza was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8. As for Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Valley Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Ignatius College Preparatory struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Valley Christian was able to grind out a solid win over St. Ignatius College Preparatory in their previous matchup back in April, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
