Mount Desert Island scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Waterville, 42-35. At the time, the Panthers were ranked 12th in the state, while the Trojans were 39th.
Winslow extended the longest winning streak in C East this week by beating Foxcroft, 31-20. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Old Town's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jake Jarvis threw for 45 yards and Pascal Cyr had 27 yards receiving. On the ground Braden Upshaw chipped in 115 yards. Dylan Miles helped Old Town's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 14 yards.
The Coyotes' dynamic duo of Jarvis and Cyr proved to be unstoppable against Hermon, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Miles helped Old Town's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 14 yards.
Upshaw provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Old Town beat the Hawks.
Nokomis' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dominick Erickson has thrown for 505 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Ray Girroir has 18 catches for 206 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Waterville and Winslow. Frank Knight's team enters the contest ranked 20th in the state, while the Black Raiders ranks 11th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Panthers take on Winslow. Waterville has allowed 111 points this season, while the Black Raiders have given up 83. The Panthers allowed 42 points last week as they fell to Mount Desert Island.
Madison/Carrabec took down Camden Hills 34-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
