Recap: Madison-Grant Argylls vs. Frankton Eagles

The Madison-Grant Argylls suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Frankton by a score of 52-50. While losing is never fun, Madison-Grant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Frankton is ranked 173rd).

Madison-Grant lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Teagan Yeagy, who scored 12 points. Clayton Hull was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Madison-Grant struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frankton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joey Wright, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Wright hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Moore, who scored 17 points.

Madison-Grant has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Frankton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison-Grant will square off against Eastbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Frankton, they will head out on the road to take on Blackford at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
