Basketball Recap: Soldotna Comes Up Short

After flying high against Eagle River last Saturday, Soldotna came back down to earth. The Soldotna Stars fell to the Colony Knights 59-54. The Stars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Soldotna has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Colony, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

While Soldotna had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
