Softball Recap: Ellington Knights vs. Canton Warriors        
        
		
            
 Ellington can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Canton Warriors by a score of  12-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-scoring effort was just what Ellington needed considering they were shutout in their previous   game.
  Camryn Fisher made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. Fisher has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Fisher was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
 In other batting news, Ellington got a big performance out of  Brynlee Eckels, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.  Bryanna Cromwell was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 4-for-4.
 Ellington's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Canton,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellington will take on East Granby at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for Canton, they will be playing at home against Rockville at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday.
