Basketball Recap: Appalachian Christian School Comes Up Short

Appalachian Christian School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost to the Grace Christian Warriors at home by a 41-27 margin. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Warriors are ranked 159th).

Aubrey Greenmun continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Grace Christian, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Greenmun has scored at least a third of Grace Christian's points. Kaitlyn Harper was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Appalachian Christian School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Grace Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appalachian Christian School will face off against Temple Christian at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Grace Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Blue Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
