After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beacon, Minisink Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Chester Hambletonians. The Warriors not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024.
Christopher McCauley made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. McCauley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other pitching news, Nicholas Parco looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Dylan Acevedo, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Lewis Conner also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
