Recap: Liberty Christian Warriors vs. Ursuline Academy Bears
The Liberty Christian Warriors were the 47-35 winner over the Ursuline Academy Bears when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Liberty Christian received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 63-44 to Ursuline Academy. While losing is never fun, Liberty Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 541st, while Ursuline Academy is ranked 263rd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ursuline Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madelyne Davis, who scored 17 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Ursuline Academy's points. Lily Smith was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Liberty Christian now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Ursuline Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Liberty Christian will square off against Leander at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ursuline Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Rockwall at 6:00 p.m. on November 30th. Rockwall will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
