It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Whitman Vikings had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They snuck past the Barons with a 59-54 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Whitman who now have three in a row.

Titian DeRosa was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Curran, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Whitman is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.

Whitman has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Laurel at 7:00 p.m. on March 8th. Whitman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,271 points over their last 19 contests. Bethesda-Chevy Chase does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
