Northwest unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Clarksville Wildcats on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

The victory got Clarksville back to even at 1-1.

Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 9-0 win against Clarksville Academy on the 11th. As for Clarksville, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-0 victory against Clarksville Christian on the 18th.
