Basketball Recap: Arp Tigers vs. West Rusk Raiders
Arp came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the West Rusk Raiders by a score of 42-40 on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Kamyah Lacy was the offensive standout of the matchup as she went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points along with five boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimora Pryor, who posted six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Arp's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for West Rusk, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-7.
Arp and Troup will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Troup will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Arp surely won't give up without a fight. West Rusk will take on Gladewater in a holiday battle at at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
