Baseball Recap: Williams Takes a Loss

Grimsley hit Williams with a four-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Whirlies, falling 9-1. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 11-7 to the Whirlies when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Williams now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Grimsley, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williams will host Northeast Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grimsley, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Southeast Alamance at 6:00 p.m.
