Basketball Recap: M.L. King Lions vs. Salem Seminoles
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask M.L. King). They enjoyed a cozy 41-25 victory over the Salem Seminoles on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
M.L. King was led to victory by Aubriana Kirkland and Imani Lang. Kirkland had 11 points, while Lang posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Kamora Whittlesey, who scored five points.
M.L. King's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Salem, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. M.L. King will head out to face off against Midtown at 5:30 p.m. on December 3rd. Midtown will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something M.L. King surely won't give up without a fight.
