Soccer Recap: Foster Takes a Loss

Foster lost against Bellevue back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Foster can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Bellevue are ranked 37th).

Foster's goal came courtesy of Kenji Maxfield Matsumoto, who's now up to three this season.

Foster has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Bellevue, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Foster wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Juanita on the 21st. As for Bellevue, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-3 victory against Sammamish on the 22nd.
