Soccer Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia lost against Almeta Crawford back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Columbia Roughnecks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Almeta Crawford Chargers. The Roughnecks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Pablo Monterroso, who's now up to six this season.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Almeta Crawford, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia will challenge Stafford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Almeta Crawford, they will square off against Sweeny at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
