Soccer Recap: Macomb Comes Up Short

Macomb managed to slip by Abingdon/Avon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bombers lost 8-0 to the Tornadoes on Tuesday. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Macomb it sure didn't stay that way.

Macomb is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9. As for Abingdon/Avon, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

Macomb wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 9-0 loss against Jacksonville on the 27th. As for Abingdon/Avon, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Illini Bluffs on the 27th.
