Basketball Game Preview: Lynnwood Royals vs. Archbishop Murphy Wildcats

The Lynnwood Royals will head out to challenge the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lynnwood is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 65 points on Saturday, they were much more limited against Shorecrest on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Scots and fell 68-16. The matchup marked the Royals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Murphy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-36 loss at the hands of Edmonds-Woodway.

Archbishop Murphy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lynnwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Things could have been worse for Lynnwood, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-42 loss to Archbishop Murphy when the teams last played back in January. Can Lynnwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
