Soccer Game Preview: Bethany vs. Madill

The Bethany Bronchos will venture away from home to take on the Madill Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Bethany fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Harrah on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. Bethany's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Madill challenged Ada on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 4-2. Considering Madill's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Madill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Bethany, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-5.

Bethany beat Madill 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bronchos since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
