It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Holy Cross ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Wolcott Eagles. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 8-6 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Holy Cross' win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Wolcott, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Holy Cross will be playing at home against Ansonia at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wolcott, they will venture away from home to challenge Oxford at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
