North Johnston gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 40-0 win over the Beddingfield Bruins. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

North Johnston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb Pone, who rushed for 109 yards and two TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 120 yards and one touchdown on only nine passes. Tyrece Hicks was another key player, gaining 88 total yards and a touchdown.

Coming up, North Johnston is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Holmes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
