North Johnston gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Beddingfield Bruins 40-0. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

North Johnston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Pone, who rushed for 109 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries, and also threw for 120 yards and one touchdown on only nine passes. Tyrece Hicks was another key player, gaining 88 total yards and a touchdown.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something North Johnston proved: they limited Beddingfield to a paltry 0.5 yards per carry. While four picked up at least one total tackle, Pone stood above the rest. He rushed for 109 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 120 yards and one touchdown on only nine passes. North Johnston didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged eight.

Looking ahead, North Johnston will venture away from home to face off against Holmes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beddingfield, they will welcome Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
