McCurdy is a perfect 10-0 against Penasco since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 3:00 p.m. McCurdy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.4 runs per game this season.

McCurdy is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Espanola Valley just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 10-7 to the Sundevils.

McCurdy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeremaya Roybal, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Penasco and Mesa Vista had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Panthers took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Tuesday.

Elias Noll was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Xavier Noll, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

McCurdy's record is now 12-5. As for Penasco, their record now sits at 4-14.

Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. McCurdy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .580. However, it's not like Penasco struggles in that department as they've averaged .531. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

McCurdy took their victory against Penasco in their previous matchup on April 8th by a conclusive 23-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
