Soccer Game Preview: Faith Lutheran vs. Western + How To Watch

The Faith Lutheran Crusaders will head out to challenge the Western Warriors at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Lutheran's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Faith Lutheran took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Sierra Vista, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Crusaders won by a goal and slipped past the Mountain Lions 2-1. Faith Lutheran wouldn't have won without Nicholas Fitzgerald, who scored the game-winner.

Faith Lutheran used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Sierra Vista. Tohotom Hajdu played for 80 minutes having averaged 56.1 this season. He made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, Western faced Canyon Springs in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Wednesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 2-1.

Western has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season. As for Faith Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4-4 record this season.
