Basketball Game Preview: Hope Christian Academy Lions vs. Union County Fightin' Tigers

The Hope Christian Academy Lions will challenge the Union County Fightin' Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hope Christian Academy has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with eight straight defeats, while Union County will come in with three straight wins.

Last Tuesday, Hope Christian Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 33-32 to Northside Christian Academy. While the Lions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Northside Christian Academy 11-6 in the first quarter.

Hope Christian Academy might have lost, but man, Addyson Wilson was a machine: she went 9 for 16 on her way to 21 points and six steals. That was a full 65.6% of Hope Christian Academy's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubriana Clark, who earned seven points.

Meanwhile, Union County beat West Nassau 41-28 on Thursday.

Union County is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. As for Hope Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
