Volleyball Recap: 18 Straight Home Victories for Lewisburg

There's no place like home for Lewisburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bartlett Panthers on Saturday. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Lewisburg never let Bartlett on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18.

Lewisburg found their leader in sophomore HadleigH Woods, who had seven digs and two aces.

Bartlett's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emerson Berkes, who had 11 assists and five digs.

Lewisburg's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-7. As for Bartlett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Lewisburg has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Northpoint Christian on the 20th. As for Bartlett, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Houston on the 23rd.
