Football Recap: Wilmington Charter Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Wilmington Charter's offense. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Newark Charter School Patriots. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Force were not able to get on the board.

Wilmington Charter's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Newark Charter School, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilmington Charter will face off against Newark at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Newark Charter School, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Seaford at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
