Basketball Game Preview: Stoneman Douglas Eagles vs. Belen Jesuit Wolverines

Having just played yesterday, the Stoneman Douglas Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Belen Jesuit Wolverines at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Stoneman Douglas has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three matchups.

Stoneman Douglas will bounce into Friday's game after beating Deerfield Beach, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles took down the Bucks 61-46 on Thursday.

Zach Story had a dynamite game, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 45% every time he's hit the court this season. Khristian Slack was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Belen Jesuit took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 80-46 win over Gulliver Prep. The Wolverines pushed the score to 73-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Raiders cut but never quite recovered from.

Stoneman Douglas' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Belen Jesuit, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
