Pine River Area dropped their record down to 9-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 4-1 to the Evart Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bucks of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for Evart, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.

For Evart's part, Lucas Johnson was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Sean Jackson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

While Pine River Area had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
