Volleyball Recap: Wauzeka-Steuben's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wauzeka-Steuben and De Soto meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Hornets fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. The loss put an end to the Hornets' undefeated start to the season.

Wauzeka-Steuben took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-13, 16-14.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wauzeka-Steuben fell to 2-1. As for De Soto, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Wauzeka-Steuben will square off against Kickapoo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. De Soto has already played their next contest (against Blair-Taylor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
