On Tuesday, Western Harnett didn't have quite enough to beat West Johnston and fell 3-2.

Western Harnett took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-17, 20-25, 25-23, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Union Pines entered their tilt with Lee County on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Yellow Jackets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since August 26th.

Union Pines was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 18-25, 21-25, 25-19, 16-14.

Union Pines' victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Western Harnett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.
