Football Recap: West Salem Falls Short Against Ranked Willamette + How To Watch

West Salem faced Willamette in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Titans took a 19-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The loss was the Titans' first of the season.

Zeke Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Willamette, throwing for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also rushing for 64 yards on only seven carries. The Wolverines' leading receiver Hunter Vaughn was Thomas' top target yet again, picking up 90 receiving yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Salem fell to 4-1. As for Willamette, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

West Salem didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-24 win against North Salem on the 10th. As for Willamette, they have also already played their next game, a 42-22 victory against North Medford on the 10th.
