Soccer Recap: St. Mary's Takes a Loss

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights who were credited with the victory. The North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the St. Mary's Saints' two. St. Mary's were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced North Raleigh Christian Academy earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will venture away from home to take on Durham Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Durham Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. Mary's surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against Ravenscroft at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
