Baseball Game Preview: St. Patrick Fighting Irish vs. George County Rebels

St. Patrick is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Picayune just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Maroon Tide by a score of 10-9.

On the hitting side, George County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Canyon Reeves, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

St. Patrick's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for George County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. St. Patrick has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .478. However, it's not like George County struggles in that department as they've averaged .431. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
