Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Montgomery were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Pitkin. The result was nothing new for Montgomery, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Montgomery has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Pitkin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-18.

Montgomery didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Saline on the 14th. As for Pitkin, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Glenmora on the 14th.
